SIGH.
So. Long story short. I was going to VanCAF. I was really looking forward to going to VanCAF. But. I am not going to VanCAF anymore, because the bulk of things I was trying to get done in time to ship to the fest, didn’t get done. Namely, the owl buttons and its woeful entanglement with a malfunctioning machine. After tossing a whole bag of defects, I caved and went to the fridge. Took out the last quarter of this strawberry roll cake I got from a small Russian supermarket down the street, and a bottle of Leinenkugel’s Lemon Berry Shandy. I ate the cake in three bites. It was sweet. Then I drank the beer. It was medicine.

By that I meant that it tasted like medicine. So if there’s a lesson learned from this, its to not drink beer after eating something strawberry-sweet-like (or when you’re upset). And that I should have managed my time far better, months in advance, in order to have anticipated and fixed this problem with time to spare for the fest. But I didn’t.
Still flying out to Seattle tomorrow to visit a good friend for a few. Maybe get my head set on straight again.
