Some collage “sketches.” The way I paint in Photoshop right now uses a lot of collage-like elements, but I haven’t done physical paper collages in awhile. Getting back into it, I remember now how addictive it is. These look pretty crude to me though, I think I might have gotten smoother shapes if I had a decent pair of scissors or an exacto knife that wasn’t blunt. My scissors right now are a pair of plastic safety scissors in the shape and pattern of a tiger. They’re not even particularly useful, as one can see by the roughness of my figures above, but they’re shaped like a tiger.

Meristem has been severely delayed because I’m pulling some plot points and rearranging the way they’re unfolding. Chapter two’s gonna be pretty lengthy, and I want to make sure I have things unraveling in the right order before I reveal too much. My ETA for when I’ll start putting it up is next Monday, so hang tight and thanks for your patience! Here’s some quick character sketches of some folks we’re going to meet pretty soon in the beginning of Chapter two. I’m tempted to chat about them, but I think I’ll hold off until they appear in the comic. However, to the left in the second picture IS Pomme sporting slightly longer hair pulled back and without her glasses (they kinda got ditched in the river somewhere).
