jadephelle:

Some excerpts from my mostly wordless one-act comic The Allegory of the Sandwich. I will be selling copies of this 22 page book at Small Press Expo in Bethesda, MD this weekend! Afterwards, I will put the entire work up on my website properly :-).

I’ve now put up the entirety of this comic on my tumblog portfolio! I originally made this over a short period of time for a class I took called “The Art of the Book” while studying abroad in Oxford, UK. I was inspired by the imagery of all the preserved medieval qualities of the city and its cute, rustic sandwich shops. Looking back at it, I can spot SO many problems with the way I organized the “panels”, and where I started getting tired and making mistakes, and the quality of the scans, but I still feel like this comic is one of the best things I’ve ever done. Its very special to me. AND if you ever catch me at a Con, chances are I have a copy of it, hand stitched and printed on manila card-stock for sale!

"Fatti Maschi, Parole Femmine" means "Manly Deeds, Womanly Words." It is the official motto of Maryland, my home-state.
